It is said that everything must come to an end. And that is exactly what has happened with softball. Johna has decided to hang up her cleats for now, but stay tuned I'm sure next year she will find a intramural team to play with. Just when I thought my days at the field were over Brandon announced he wanted to play baseball. I was so excited for this since I love to watch baseball and softball. He is playing AF Rec Pony League Baseball.
B has always been a natural at baseball so to see him out there is so much fun. Johna has a hard time sitting in the stands. She is so funny to watch, she is now learning what I have gone through the past 5 years watching her play.
Currently B is playing both first base and outfield. His team is 2-2, so if you ever need something to do on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday Night come visit me at the baseball field.
B's First at Bat
Johna's Last at Bat
Senior Day @ Softball
It's been a week now since Johna played her last home game as a Lady Caveman Softball player. What a season she had, the team overall didn't do so hot. But individually she did great. The last home game for any player is hard but yet exciting knowing it's time for you to pass on the bat to someone else. On Senior day the booster club honors the Seniors. This year I decided our Seniors deserved something special so I made poster's of them doing all the things they loved and had them sign them as if they were professionals. It was a lot of fun.
This day was a loss for the team but Johna had a great day on the field and in the batters box. She hit 500 in the game with 2 single, a walk and struck out. Johna is ready to move onto bigger and better things. I am glad for the season to be over, no more booster club!!!!
